How to Clinically Clear the Cervical Spine

The “4×4” Technique:

  1. Make sure you really should clear this spine.
  2. Explain the process to the patient.
  3. Clear it!
    1. Flexion
    2. Extension
    3. Rotation
    4. Compression
  4. Document it!
